Volunteer Spotlight: Sizzling Success at the Train Expo!

The recent Train Expo was a massive success, and while the smell of the BBQ might have been the main attraction, it was the "well-oiled machine" of our volunteer team that truly stole the show.

From the early hours of the morning until the final clean-up, our community showed up in force. Sam H, who joined us on the BBQ, captured the spirit of the day perfectly:

• The Early Birds: Our Setup and Pack Down teams who did the heavy lifting to ensure everything was ready for kick-off.

• The Logistics Gurus: Our Parking Attendants who kept the traffic flowing smoothly and greeted visitors with a smile.

• The Sweet Success: Our talented Bakers who provided an incredible spread of treats that were a huge hit with the crowds.

• The Grill Masters: The BBQ Crew who handled the rush with "precision" and high energy.

Whether you spent the day directing cars or whisking batter at home, your contribution made a difference. Our P&C works hard to ensure every volunteer feels supported and safe, and seeing that expertise translate into a fun, successful day for everyone is what it’s all about.
